North America is to be found in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the second largest continent in the world and contains Canada, United States, Mexico and a row of small states and regions. This continent is characterized by varied landscape forms, from mountains to deserts and by the rich fauna and flora. North America is also a home of many various cultures and languages including English, Spanish and French. The region has a very important economic influence on world events and is famous for its innovative technologies, industry and cultural contributions such as film, music and sport.
